For International Day this year, Dawlish class have learnt about Romania. We’ve found out lots of information and have made a video that we’d like to share with you.
Year 3 enjoyed a lovely day out to Westonbirt Arboretum last week. We carried out a workshop linked to our science topic of ‘how plants grow’, went on treetop walks and managed to also fit in a little time for a picnic in the sun and a spot of tree climbing!
This week the whole school have been taking part in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) week. Year 3 have been dissolving seashells using acid, Year 2 have been investigating and making rockets and Year 6 have been dissecting hearts! There are lots more activities to come.. watch this space!
Year 3 invited parents in to classes to share in our Carnival day. We prepared for our visitors by making sandwiches – including the packaging.
Together, we created Mardi Gras masks, shared our sandwiches and provided our guests with some light entertainment!
Thank you to all the parents, carers, grandparents, aunties, uncles, brothers and sisters who came in to join with the fun!
On Thursday 1st March, we celebrated World Book Day. We each came dressed as our favourite book character – check out our selfies!
Dawlish Class have been busy investigating how to construct difference 3D shapes
In Term 3 we studied the Romans. We were lucky enough to have our very own Roman visit us in school, he taught us about battle formations, how to fire a cross bow and how the Romans used to live in Ancient Britain.
