Children In Need 2025
A week ago today, schools, places of work and communities got together to fundraise for Children in Need. A week ago today, BBC Radio 2's Sara Cox completed her ultra marathon of 135 miles - so far raising over £11,000,000 for this worthy cause. A week ago today, the heavens opened and rain poured down on our playgrounds! Regardless, a week ago today, our children were not deterred - they pounded the floors of the halls and classrooms, exercising continuously for 25 minutes - laps of the hall, skipping, jogging, hopping, dancing, star jumps, burpees - you name it, they did it - many of them dressed in yellow and wearing bear ears!
And, for all their efforts, they raised an absolutely incredible £3367.48 for Children In Need!
This is an outstanding amount and possibly a school record (we're checking the archives).
We know times are tough, especially at this time of year, so to raise such a phenomenal amount is amazing.
A massive thank-you to all the children, their families, friends and the Even Swindon staff for their donations, sponsorships and help with this event.
It's still not too late to hand in any sponsorship money or make a payment on ParentPay. We will wait a few more days before we send all the donations off to Pudsey.
