This week in reception we have been looking at the story of Olivers Vegetables.  It has given us a chance to look at and investigate some vegetables that some of us may not usually see.  We have been touching them, smelling them and even tasting some!

We have continued to measure our beans that are growing really well, hopefully we will be planting these outside soon – as long as they don’t get drowned!

In phonics this week we have been practising reading sentences and some children have been lucky enough to use special laser pens!! Very exciting!!

In maths this week we are learning about doubling, using our friends the ladybirds to help us and we have even written some number sentences.

We would all like to say a big thank you for all the hard work you have all put into the beautiful beanstalks that have been coming in for homework, they are amazingly creative and look just wonderful in our corridor, I hope we don’t get inundated with giants now!
